el nido accommodation: greenviews resort and restaurant

are you planning to hit the islands and have zeroed in on el nido, palawan? darn, i ENVY you, hehe. among the many places i've visited over the years, there's no doubt in my mind that the philippines is richly blessed when GOD decided to create the bit of paradise that is el nido. i believe it's one of the best, if not the best beach destination in the country. for that, i encourage you, my dear reader, to put el nido in your must-visit place. check out the picture below and tell me if you don't agree. ain't it a beauty?

if this picture convinced you to check out el nido, then let me help you plan your trip to this spectacular travel destination. let me start by telling you about our el nido accommodation in this post.
in 2008, my sister and i, together with a few other travel buddies, made greenviews resort and restaurant as our temporary abode. incidentally, when my sister returned to el nido with my brother last year, they both decided to stay again in greenviews, el nido. please note that there is another greenviews resort in palawan, and it's located in port barton. however, the port barton branch will be temporarily closed between may 1, 2013 to november 30, 2013 to give way to the resort's expansion and building of a restaurant.
the pictures below were taken during our 2008 el nido trip, except for those credited.
greenviews resort, corong-corong

Greenviews is about 10 to 15 minutes away from El Nido Beach. There are a lot of resorts/hotels/inns at El Nido Beach, but they're too noisy to my liking, whereas Greenviews is very quite and peaceful. Most tourists also drive to this resort for its spectacular view of the sunset. Unfortunately, it was cloudy when we were there. The foreigner owner, mr. dave gooding, was even apologetic that we were unable to experience it because of the cloudy skies.

Additional Information from Greenviews' website
Free WIFI is available in the restaurant and free use of a computer if not being used by the management.
The resort has been constructed with native style cottages, with a native style restaurant building in the middle at the front.
All cottages have their own balcony and bathroom with flush toilet and tiled shower which are hot showers when town electricity is ON (currently 2pm-6am).
There are 8 double cottages all with aircon but 6 can be just fan if required, and 2 air conditioned family cottages. There are also 6 rooms, 4 of which have the same facilities as the cottage except no aircon and two are interior rooms with no balconies, which can either be fan or aircon.
